Welcome to empowerment, self love, confidence, and finding YOU. We are so happy that you have chosen to work with Stripped Collective Boudoir for an experience in loving and embracing how beautiful and unique you truly are. We have a female only staff & we only shoot one gorgeous client a day to ensure that each client gets the most out of her experience and we bring her vision to life. Our mission is to help every single client find herself, embrace herself, and fall so deeply in love with herself.

Experiences include professional hair and makeup with lashes, wardrobe styling, professional coaching and posing to give you the most luxurious boudoir experience. With anywhere from 1-5 wardrobe options, you are sure to express all sides of your personality from flirty girl next door vibes to high end seductress to sensual and sweet to trashy dirty and grungy. Whatever your vibes or visions are, we are going to bring it to life! Promise.

This custom boudoir prep guide I have designed for you is full of tips, tricks, ideas, and suggestions for you to feel fully prepared for your big day! I promise I won't put any tip in here that isn't necessary (all the ones who don't stretch and regret it after, I'm looking at you)! So read, read, read and you will thank me for it!!

First thing first... BABY, STRETCH. Trust me on this one. Trust all the ones who came before you & terribly regretted their decision. I would start daily AT LEAST one week prior to your shoot. Yoga, stretch, yoga, stretch. Back, hips, legs... stretch stretch stretch. You will thank me!

We LOVE a hydrated queen. Water is so important the week before your shoot. If you aren't a water drinker, I understand and feel your pain... but I promise you, you'll see a huge difference in your skin if you stick to only water the week before. Drink plenty of water for the week prior to the shoot. This will keep you hydrated and help keep your skin glowing and smooth. Alcohol and very salty foods aren't the best idea the week of your shoot as well. Flush those toxins, you beautiful beeyotch.

Sometimes, things get hairy.... hehe. Seriously, let's talk all hair. If you are going for a cut or color, I suggest going at least a week prior just to ensure you have time to fix any mistakes! Now the hair down there, I would suggest shaving and waxing 2-3 days before your session to let any inflamed hair follicles and skin calm down. Or if you are an al naturale queen, we love that too!

Clean, clean, clean. We love a hygienic queen. I know I shouldn't have to include this... but y'all, you just don't know the things I've seen in the nursing world, okay? Shower the morning of your shoot. Do us all a favor & go ahead and wash up. If you have oily hair, I would wash it the morning of your shoot. If you don't have a problem with excess oil, the day before will be just fine! Wear CLEAR deodorant.

Timing is key. Please arrive no earlier or later for your time than what is scheduled. Jordan will be ready no sooner than 10am (or whatever time I give you in your portal) and I will be ready immediately after you are finished with her, so we are all good there! Jordan frequently has back-to-back clients so please make sure you don't run late because she may not be able to fit you in! She allows a 15 minute grace period but it's a bit more rushed.

Please no Botox or fillers the week of your shoot! Number one, you're so gorgeous as-is but if you choose to get Botox or fillers, you will need time to make sure you aren't bruised or puffy!

Scrub those feet! I know this sounds so weird but seriously, no one wants dirty feet in photos, ya know? I highly suggest scrubbing them good in the shower, lotioning them up, and putting on LOOSE fuzzy socks until you get to the studio!

Don't wear tight panties, bra, or clothing for hair and makeup or to the studio. Gotta think about those lines! Make sure you also take hair ties and watches off before you arrive for hair + makeup. I suggest wearing a very loose jumpsuit, tee and sweats, or a robe to hair + makeup with some loose slide on shoes.

Stay out of the sun for the week prior to your shoot! Day to day exposure is fine, but avoid long hours in the sunlight to avoid sunburns. Photoshop can do amazing things, but sunburns will have a negative impact on your shooting experience, and will likely be present in your final images. It will be significantly more expensive to have to remove sunburns during retouching. Be sure to wear sunscreen when you know you're going to be in the sun! Please. Please. Please.

Spray tanning should be avoided within a two days of the session. If you want to have a faux glow, please have it done at least two days prior to the shoot at a professional salon and do so in the nude. You want to avoid creating tan lines that can show up when you’re not wearing a lot of clothing.

Avoid partying or drinking the week before your shoot, as alcohol depletes the skin of vital nutrients and can have it looking dehydrated and dull, even in small doses. This goes hand in hand with the bullet point on hydration.

Moisturize, moisturize, moisturize. Supple is key for beautiful skin! Be sure to moisturize twice a day for the week leading up to your shoot. On the day of your shoot, use a  non-bronzer illuminizing lotion. If you're having a hard time finding an illuminizing lotion without color, you can absolutely just go with an oil based lotion like Argan Oil Moisturizer or Coconut Oil Moisturizer. Don't use tinted lotions or anything with color, unless you have one that you are familiar with and use regularly.

BRUSH YOUR LIPS. Sounds weird, right?! Dry, cracked lips are very hard to fix in post processing. In the days leading up to your photoshoot, use your toothbrush while brushing your teeth to also make a few passes over that pucker of yours. This will help shed dead skin. After that, apply a moisturizing lip balm...repeat repeat repeat.

Manicure. Go a few days before your shoot and get a manicure and pedicure! This will give you a finished, polished look. Chipped polish can’t be photoshopped. You want your nails to look their best. A manicure can help achieve this, but is not required. You just want them to be trimmed and neat for your session. You can stick with neatly shaped, clear nails. Soft, neutral colors work well for fingertips OR you can show your personality with fun colors! Toes can get away with any color. Think about the outfits you’re bringing and be sure to choose a color that will compliment your choices.

Clean your ring. If you're wearing a wedding ring, make sure it looks it's best. You'll definitely want to be showing it off in your session.

Using a toothbrush and toothpaste is a great day-to-day way to clean your bling, but most professional jewelers have sonic cleaners that make it sparkle like the day it was born. Many will even clean your ring for free, especially if you return to the jeweler from where you bought it.

If it’s been a long time since your last professional cleaning, take the ring in right away. If there are any loose stones in your setting, they may get shaken loose, so it’s a good idea to allow a few days in case the jeweler needs to re-set anything.

ONE WEEK PRIOR

  • Drink plenty of water — staying hydrated will help your skin glow for your session.
  • Avoid being in the sun for long periods of time and don’t visit the tanning bed or get a spray tan for the first time right before your session.
  • Moisturize your skin and face. Use lip balm daily. Exfoliate, moisturize, hydrate! PLEASE. This is actually so important and you will be so shocked at what a huge difference this makes in your photos!
  • Wash your face with gentle cleansers — nothing too aggressive or drying on the skin.
  • If you have tight hamstrings, stretch to loosen them up. Runners and those who spend a lot of time sitting often have tight hamstrings. Several poses may stretch them and keeping them loose can alleviate discomfort.
  • Avoid alcohol!
  • Avoid sunburns and making tan lines worse (unless you're fine with them in your photos).
  • Make a playlist or send me a playlist full of all the tunes that make you feel like the bad bitch you are. I have a boudoir playlist if you don't feel like it, but it may not be your jam... so if you have time, do this! Music can help set the mood even more!!

3-4 DAYS PRIOR

  • Clean up your eyebrows now if you are planning to.
  • Wax. You will be in your underwear or less for your boudoir shoot. Consider your bikini line if you don’t usually.
  • Clean your wedding ring if you’re wanting to wear it during your session. (Also clean body jewelry).

THE NIGHT BEFORE YOUR BOUDOIR SESSION

  • Shave if you’re not waxing. Go slow! Avoid cutting yourself and use lotions that aid in razor burn. If you’ll have time the day of the shoot, you can do this then.
  • Skip alcohol and parties. Alcohol wreaks havoc on the skin, even in small doses. It depletes the skin of vital nutrients and and can leave it dehydrated and dull. Drink lots of water instead!
  • Moisturize, moisturize, moisturize.
  • Stttreeetttchhhh so so good.
  • Sleep! Get a full night of rest. You want to be hydrated and VERY well-rested for your boudoir session.

THE DAY OF YOUR BOUDOIR SESSION

  • Arrive with a clean moisturized face and hair. Remove all traces of your makeup from the night before, and be sure to moisturize and use your eye cream and lip balm. This will help your stylist have a clean canvas to work with and have you looking your best!
  • Arrive with loose-fitting or no underwear/bra. You want to avoid tight bras and underwear to avoid having lines in your skin. These take a while to disappear and can draw attention away from you in your photos.
  • Eat a healthy meal before you arrive. You want to eat something nutritious and filling to keep you running on fuel because it is a work out! Please listen to me on this one... I've never had a client say, "wow! That was easy!" Even my Crossfitters!!
  • Bring outfit on hangers to avoid wrinkles, if possible!
  • Come completely ready to FALL IN LOVE WITH YOURSELF.

So what do I bring!?

First off, you really don't have to bring a thing.

All of the items listed are only suggestions. I have tons of lingerie, stockings, robes, body jewelry, body chains, cuffs, spreader bars, collars/chains, masks, crowns, nipple tassels, angel wings, and glamour robes all available for you to choose from!

You are welcome to use anything I have, anything you have, a combination of both. Most clients usually end up bringing their entire closet into the studio and that's just fine ;)

Here are some suggestions I have... and I'll be sure to highlight the really important ones!

•For bridal boudoir, it's so sexy and sweet to incorporate your veil, garter, & wedding shoes into some photos.

•Button Up Shirt. One of my favorites! So versatile. It can induce the feel of waking up late on a Sunday and tossing on your partner's shirt. It can be as tame as spicy as you want to make it!

•Cocktail dress. I LOVE starting shoots off in a cocktail dress because it can tell a story and looks phenomenal being unzipped as the first page of your album to show what it to come on the next few pages. Also a good transition into lingerie if that intimidates you (which it does for most & that is totally normal).

•Blue jeans/ blue jean shorts. I love these for the same reason... being unzipped is an amazing start to the album. Jeans just give a girl next door character that is super playful.

•Crop Top. Some people really love lacy lingerie, some really love casual Fridays, and some love both. The crop top can do wonders for your shape and it is so suggestive. Bring whatever you have that is cropped, it's fun to play around with different types... loose, tight, different lengths, etc. And if you're up for it, you will absolutely be sprayed with water at the end so bring a white one too! Highly suggest bringing one of these!

•Fishnets. Enough said. Fish. Nets. Are. So. Hot. SO HOT. An important one!

•Garter Belts. It's totally and completely fine if you do not know how to put these on, I GOT YOU. When garter belts are paired with stockings and heels, they can add a few inches to your legs. I love love love this look!

•Heels. Classic, timeless, staple. They just do so many things for us. They make our legs look longer, tone up our calves, help our posture, and add an extra layer of sex appeal toalmost any outfit - lingerie or not. Even if casual is your thing, I still recommend bringing at least one pair.

•Jersey. Jerseys are not the most flattering piece in a boudoir shoot by a long shot but I get it, your significant other would wholeheartedly disagree. I like a challenge, so I say bring it on! Also, fitted t shirts with the sports logo are super attractive too! Lots of photographers hate them, I say bring it for a shot or two (this won't count on your number of outfits).

•Stockings. Stockings, heels, garter belts... they all add up to the same thing. I try to do at least one outfit every session that is dressed to the 9's. Feel free to get something out of the standard black too, but either will look amazing. Get something with a tiny pattern in it or something with a design over the thigh. Be careful not to get a size too small, this will squeeze in your thighs and have a harder time staying up.

•Off The Shoulder Sweater. This is what we most commonly start shoots off with because it's playful. It gives your hands something to do, it's suggestive, and there is something about pulling clothes in all different directions that is so sexy.

•One Piece Teddy/Bodysuit. We have arrived at my absolute favorite piece of lingerie to photograph. Sometimes called a body suit, I think these are the most underrated lingerie out there. An ABSOLUTE MUST. It is incredibly flattering on all body types. There are a million different designs for how it covers you and it is more versatile than you'd think! 90% of the photos have been of someone wearing a teddy. You just cannot go wrong. This is one of the important ones.

•Glasses. Glasses can be a fun little accessory! Especially with an off the shoulder tee or a button up + panties. Nerds are hot and it can be fun to character jump for a few pictures!

•Jewelry. You are the most important part of these photos and too many accessories can be a distraction. With that being said, small simple pieces can really bring an outfit together so feel free to bring necklaces, bracelets, earrings, or body jewelry that you think would add to your photos!

•Bra and panty set. I really love the simple staple pieces like a black bra and panty set. It's gorgeous alone, it's gorgeous dressed up with stockings and heels, there's just something about it.

•Nude and black thongs or cheeky panties. You'll probably need these at some point during our shoot! Don't feel like you have to go out and buy the most expensive ones, just basic will do the trick.

I want to shop for my own lingerie... where do you suggest?

Tips...

Preparing for your session is truly so much fun. These tips will help make sure your day is the very best it can be. I am here to help you through this entire process making it so relaxed, so fun, and so empowering for you. If you haven't already started a private Pinterest board to gather ideas, now would be a great time to do so!
Below is a checklist of items to make SURE you pack on your big day.
•Nude & black cheeky panties and/or thongs
•Black bra and panty set
•Fishnets & a white tank or tee that you are fine with ripping (bonus points if it's cropped)!
•At least one piece of clothing that you wouldn't normally consider lingerie
•Nude & black stilettos

HONESTLY, and I'm not even close to exaggerating here, wardrobe is really not that crazy important for the way that I shoot. Please, please, please don't stress out over wardrobe. Don't feel the need to run out and buy all new things. I can do a completely versatile and awesome shoot with a single scarf, or the sheets, or a sweater. Truly. Don't stress about it.
THE NUMBER ONE WARDROBE RULE IS: Do NOT bring outfits that you don't love! I can't tell you how many women show up with outfits that prompt them to say "I really don't like the way I look in this one, but I'll leave it up to you!". If you don't like the outfit, it's likely that you won't like photos of you in the outfit. Leave it at home.
Lingerie is NOT a must for boudoir. Don't be afraid to get creative! For a boudoir style shoot, a garter belt and thigh high fish nets would go great with a cropped sweater or graphic tee. A gorgeous bra can be paired with a long flowing skirt. Your favorite tank top can be paired with no pants. A SHEET can be used for everything. Your 20 year old favorite tee shirt paired with cheeky bottoms will get the job done just perfectly. This is about YOU and your authentic personality, not about being someone you aren’t.
For beauty or portraits, structured and/or statement pieces work amazing. Your favorite blazer or jacket, a cocktail dress with an interesting neckline, or just a bodysuit and jeans….we want you to look and feel like yourself (just on your best day).
When in doubt, just bring in some of your favorite wardrobe items and let me style them for you. It’s part of the service and I’m happy to do it.
My shoot style is very casual and fun but I will give you a ton of direction!  We go for the “I woke up like this” look as often as possible. For that look, wardrobe is even LESS of a obstacle.

Homework

AHH, I bet you didn't think you'd ever have to do homework again, did you? Think again, beautiful!  First, I want you to head on over to Pinterest and create a secret board called "(YOUR NAME) Boudoir". Follow me (@mrsannajnunn) and then invite me to join your board that you’ve named “YOUR NAME PHOTO SHOOT”, and I want you to spend some time pinning images that speak to you.  See my tip on this up above in the "Planning" suggestions. Don't put too much thought into your pins, I just want to get a general idea of the aesthetic style you’re drawn to. If you don't have a Pinterest account and don't feel like creating one, then just email me a sampling of at least 20 different images you've found online that you like. I want to know the exact essence you're craving your shoot to have. I am allllll about it.

Still have questions? Email me at annanunnphoto@gmail.com any time!

Now for my couples...

Of course if you're a female/female couple, any of the following above applies to you, whatever your style is. However, the guys may need a little guidance... so here we go.

Shop together! Buying a few new outfits for your boudoir session is part of the fun! This is a little more complicated in a couple’s shoot since you want to make sure that your respective outfits work together. For example: him in jeans and without a top and her wearing his shirt; both in black, etc.

Talk about it! Take some time to discuss what you want to get out of this shoot. Write down the reasons you’re doing the session and what you want to accomplish throughout the process.

Get used to the idea. Even if you and your partner are extremely close, being in front of a camera together — especially in a boudoir setting — can naturally make you nervous. Set aside an hour together to pretend as if you’re doing the shoot (sans camera!) and practice what feels comfortable.

Ask your questions. Don’t hesitate to ask questions throughout the process. I’m always an email, phone call, or DM away and want to make sure you feel completely comfortable and prepared as we go into your shoot! I had 500 questions about my own shoot and I am prepared for you to as well. NEVER feel like you'll be a bother to me... I promise you won't & I promise I am here for you every single step of the way.

Here are a few outfits I suggest for the men...

•Plain black briefs. The tighter, the better. There are several brands that have ball hammocks and it makes them look like they're smuggling an anaconda. Dudes love it. Saxx underwear is one company I've bought from and I LOVE. They also have some really funky colors and styles that could be pretty fun to play around with if you find a plain + funky combo pack!

•Plain black tee and plain white tee

•Jeans

•White button up

•Tie (if this is your vibe... lots and lots of photo ops with this)

•An entire "business man" suit + leather shoes if this is your vibe. So many fun photo ops & you'll definitely need to be thinking cocktail dress or French maid costume with this...

•Grey sweatpants. I don't even have to say why.

•Boots/cowboy boots if this is his vibe.

•A hat he loves

•He will be in his briefs 99% of the time, so please don't stress it a bit!

Bro tips...

Tell him that his skin matters too and to please try to refrain from alcohol especially in excess the week leading up to the shoot, to gently cleanse his face and moisturize, and manscape however he needs to. He also needs to stretch because I'll have him picking you up, flipping you, twisting you, all kinds of things and we don't want a sore king.

Some people’s stress reaction during their photo session is to become aroused. And sometimes it's because I have your wife's butt in your face telling you to bite it. This is normal. It is OK to take a break, and it’s also OK to simply carry on with the session. Honestly, they photograph beautifully and add a little something extra to the photos. It’s completely up to you and what you’re comfortable with. I am completely professional and do not get embarrased easily, don’t worry!

Ask him to curate a playlist as well that we can play through my speaker or type some songs in an email and shoot it over to me!

And last but not least, please tell him to go into this with a very open mind and ENJOY this day. Just the two of you (okay and me but not really) loving on each other, being intimate together, celebrating your love for one another, and reconnecting in such a beautiful way. Tell him he may feel silly but I promise I know what I am doing and the most awkward feeling poses are the best looking poses.

I will also say, couples shoots are A LOT less directed than individuals. Every move almost is dictated by me during an individual session whereas I will put you into a pose and let you do your own natural thing together over & over. It's a way that I can control what I want and need to capture for you, but in a way that I capture it in it's most authentic form.

Please please please read the homework above & invite me to your couples boudoir board. I cannot wait to see your vision and make it come to life!
